Awakening from the Dream of Anaesthesia

Take ownership and become the real creator of your life!

Christine - Your Spiritual Tour Guide from WORLD WITHIN

A young relative recently needed some serious dental treatment and was naturally worried about having a general anaesthetic for the first time. In an effort to calm her, a friend explained that there was nothing for her to be worried about, as she would not even realise that she had been given the anaesthetic to make her unconscious, until she woke up from it.

Our life is a bit like that - if only we could realise the truth of the matter. We incarnate into the world and go through the process of living a life but it is only when we actually awaken to who we truly are that we realise we have only been going through a dream which has been created by our consciousness.

We have been going through this process for aeons of time and if we look back into our history of life on earth we will see that some humans have already awoken from their dream and we now refer to them as enlightened ones. The wonderful thing about this time in our history is that there is great opportunity now for us all to wake up from the dream of life.

What does awakening from the dream mean?

Realising that we are more than our physical, mental and emotional bodies, opens the door for us to embark upon a journey of discovery, allowing us to explore the many dimensional layers to our nature. This then helps us to understand that we are all part of an infinite vibrational loving energy. When we discover and understand that reality, we are well on the way to waking up to the truth that our own consciousness has created these bodies to enable us to live in this world of form. This is the start of our journey, to awaken from the dream.

How do we awaken from the dream?

We all have a physical, mental, emotional and a spiritual body. For many centuries adepts have developed and used various techniques to allow them to focus entirely on the process of going to their WORLD WITHIN to discover the still point. A space where the physical body is relaxed, the mental body has stopped thinking and the emotional body is at ease. It is when we have reached this still point that we can then begin to become aware of ourselves as being the observer of our thoughts, words, actions, and beliefs. This observer is our real self, our true essence, our creative source and our connection to God.

What part does God play in all this?

Let us first look at the word “God” - which now carries with it such a lot of conflicting energy which has been generated by millions of humans who have contributed immense amounts of positive and negative vibrations around it.

Every life expression on our planet - from a spec of dust in the atmosphere to the whitest cloud around the biggest mountain, the great oceans and life within them, as well as all human, animal, vegetable and mineral kingdoms, has expressed itself from the Divine Intelligence (or Source) that we refer to as God.

The idea that there is a judgemental, cruel and unfeeling ”God” is an idea that has been constructed by humans in order to allow specific individuals and groups to take control of others. Literature, art and education can inform and entertain us but it can also indoctrinate and manipulate us. While science and technology can serve and benefit us it can also become a weapon in the hands of those who want to control others. People have been greatly influenced and controlled by religious teachings over vast periods of time as well as being manipulated by certain groups that have ring-fenced their discoveries in many of the sciences.

Many have laboured under the idea that karma (which just means action and reaction) is what drives our life experience (we are suffering or enjoying our current life because of past bad or good things we have done). However, we are now realising that it is our consciousness that creates our life circumstances and the karma that we experience has been created by our own selves through our own consciousness. It is now time for us to get off of the hamster wheel and take ownership of our own role in our life. Things are not happening to us, they are happening because of us (our own thinking.)

Once we begin to realise that we have a choice, we can make that choice from the very moment we realise we have one! That choice is to determine ourself to create our life with conscious positivity, rather than living life unconsciously; just drifting along and reacting to the consequences of our lives which arise as a result of our haphazard and fearful thinking.

Choosing to think with love rather than hate is a free will choice we all have. There is always a point of choice for us - even if our thinking self wants to react negatively rather than positively to a life incident.

Devastating things happen to people and when this occurs it is our natural reaction to spiral into shock, disbelief, anger or despair; but it is unwise to stay in this negativity for too long. This is not to say that we should ignore a negative impactful incident in our life. We should not allow negative emotions to remain within us for too long, because as a result of them outstaying their welcome we could end up being greatly affected by them. We have a choice to remain in our pit of despair or start the climb to get out of it. This is our free will choice.

We all have inbuilt responses which often stem from hurts which have turned into blockages within us and until we route them out and heal them they will negatively colour our reactions to incidents in our lives.

We can live life unconsciously and allow our mind to rule our thinking, giving it free rein to move through life reacting to whatever comes its way or we can deliberately choose to live life consciously and develop the habit of monitoring our thinking to ensure that our thoughts remain positive, no matter what is happening around us. This is particularly important at this time in earth’s history as nations and held values are rising up against each other.

We could argue the case that as an individual we cannot begin to change the world, but every individual will come to a point in their life (however many incarnations it takes) to chose to change themselves.

So many of us have allowed ourselves to sink into a cycle of negative thinking, which has created duality and separation amongst family and friends. On the broader world stage we now see it manifesting into enormous divides between political parties, countries and religions.

Our planet is also a living being and has a choice to make as well and that is to move up the dimensional ladder. Those souls who have taken on the same vibration will move with the planet. Once we understand the concept that all life is vibrational then we will begin realise that levels of energy that vibrate at the same frequency stay together. The family that plays together, stays together.

Do we have any control about when, where and how we awaken?

There have been countless opportunities for every one of us to move through the process of awakening and these are not opportunities that are metered out to us by an unseen or unknown source - they are given to us by ourselves (as we all have free will).

So what are you going to say to yourself now that you have read this? There is a choice. There is always a choice that is presented to us every second we choose to think a thought or say a word or feel an emotion or deliver an action. Yes, we are a human being with a physical body living in the physical world but we are also consciousness expressing itself through those forms which we have generated. Such is our power!

We are told that God made us in his own image and that means that we also have the ability to create our own lives (just as God created us). All the great spiritual teachers carry this tenant but this information has been consistently misinterpreted, adulterated and withheld from the masses of humanity because it gives too much power to us individually.

When Jesus said ‘I and the Father Are One’ he was saying He and God are in unity (rather than declaring they are the same being or person). Jesus is saying they are of the same essence, the same power, the same nature, and have the same intentions.

We are made of the same stuff too! Jesus said he was acting as our redeemer in releasing us from the oppression we place upon ourselves as being less than………. Now is the time for us to be more than……..

What happens when we awaken?

We will see things in a better light, we will live more from the heart, we will feel better about ourselves and we will love and respect the planet upon which we are living and having our BEING. Just like my young relative, we will wake up and will no longer be in pain and can start living again in harmony and joy.
