Which side are we on?

Unable to sleep the other night my thoughts drifted to the war in Gaza and I decided that it was time to address within myself my understanding of the part I should play on the vibrational stage of thoughts and emotional expressions that have arisen from within.

Every war is a tragedy for our world and it matters not what the cause is, but it matters greatly how we address it in our humanity. Every war is about one set of humans pitting their ideas, grievances, thoughts and emotions against each other, with both parties determined within themselves to prove their right to their opinion and their right to them achieving their goal. However, it is just that - thoughts, emotions and actions borne out of their human convictions which will have been shaped by their life circumstances, whether inherited from ancestors or developed within themselves as being in the right to fight, for their cause.

But let us not forget that we are first and foremost spiritual beings having a life expression in a world of form on a planet. As Shakespeare so eloquently put it in As You Like It, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players”

So what part in all this are we playing at the moment?

I cannot even begin to look at the ‘rights and wrongs’ of all the conflict which is unfolding, because it goes back so long in history and has been manipulated in bias by humankind. I suspect that many people (including some of those involved in it now) are similarly confused.

However, the cause of it will be seriously embedded within a lot of antagonists and will continue to live within them until they leave this life. But for others there is a chance and a gift in the conflict which will open up an escape route for the soul to embrace. Indeed there is always an opportunity for everyone to grasp, whatever conflict they are witnessing or find themselves involved in and that is to awaken to who they really are.

Every soul that comes into incarnation has the opportunity to express itself through many channels, over many countless lifetimes - through many human forms of race and gender, from indigenous tribes right through to sophisticated environments in as many different continents and countries as there are on this globe.

Religion is man made and is not a truth of who we really are. However, there is one thing that ties us all together as souls and that is our Divinity, which can be found in our WORLD WITHIN.

Source has tried to speak to us over the many eons of time that humans have been in this world of form but the messages have been hijacked to prove a particular point so that humans could seize control over each other and the world they occupied.

Enlightened souls have incarnated and humanity has built religions around their teachings and unfortunately some humans have hijacked and manipulated those words of truth into forms of control. Truth in its original form enlightens and inspires and does not control; only humans do this and they do it to themselves and each other.

If we carry on like this destroying everyone under the umbrella of what we deem is right, then we will all perish and Source will take us back to the beginning to start all over again……..

But we have a chance, and our decision to take that chance is an individual one, because as a soul we have a choice, a vote, an opportunity to make our own voice heard. But that voice must be of a certain vibration, it must not shout obscenities or decry another, but must be a whisper within our hearts to the God whom we recognise as purity and truth; loving ourselves and each other.

We do not need to shout it from the rooftops, or try to persuade others to listen but instead we should be brave enough to put aside the dogma we have inherited and know that God will not smite us down in doing this, we are not forsaking our religion but are discovering the power behind it.

I was brought up within the Christian doctrine but did not become entrenched within it as I realised that, like all religions that have arisen within the world of form, they were brought here through the soul expression of certain enlightened beings, whose task was to share the love of God amongst the people. Alas humanity has not fully played its part in this and has distorted teachings over many centuries in order to self-serve and control others. True religion is not about self but is about the whole, the recognition that we are all one and have come from the same Source.

Spoiler alert! Please feel free to replace the following with any religious teaching of your choice.

In Christianity we have many different versions of the Lord’s prayer but in essence it is encouraging us to recognise God as our father, recognising him as being holy and saying that we will do his will on earth.

We ask that we are forgiven those things we have done wrong, as well as to forgive others for seemingly doing bad things to us. We also ask not to be tempted to judge and condemn and separate ourselves from others.

The heart of the human is our icon for the expression of love. So I am taking these words and running with them - that means loving others as God loves me and forgiving others as I know God forgives me. He always gives us another chance, another chance and yet another chance……......

If nothing else, these words may help us be in our humanity, which is where we all need to be, to not only help save the world but save ourselves as well.
