The I Am Presence

At the centre of our being there lies a space which is all encompassing, it is a space and yet it contains everything, it is our refuge in times of trouble and our inspiration in times of need, it is a place of sanctuary and contentment with life and within it lies all our possibilities. It is the ‘go to’ place for contemplation, renewal and help and it is where we connect to the most powerful energy that it is possible for us to access. It is the I Am Presence and our great portal to the Divine. It is our power base and the centre of our Being, it is the Godforce, it is Source (it is any word you care to give it, because it is yours alone in your conscious expression of who you really are.)

It is known by many other names and each religion has identified it and made it their own. Jesus said: “I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life". When he uttered the words “I Am” he was not referring to himself (the man Jesus) but was referring to the I Am Presence that was within him and is in everyone else. He was explaining that everyone had an I Am Presence and the only way back to Source/God (the Father) was through the I Am Presence. Jesus was the messenger and although his knowledge and awareness was far greater than most people at the time, he knew that it was an individual soul journey we must all make rather than expect someone else (Jesus?) to do it for us.

We must also consider that many of Jesus’s teachings were not written down at the time but were passed on many years after his initial time on earth. Reincarnation is the pivot upon which the opportunity for personal transformation lies, so maybe that was why reincarnation references were deleted from the scriptures of Christian orthodox doctrines by the then ruler of the Roman Empire, Emperor Justinian 1 in AD 543. There are many ways by which others have tried to control their fellow men and women over the centuries but the idea of hell and damnation has got to be up there amongst one of the top threats that humankind have had thrown at them over the many centuries. Fortunately we are now moving into a period where humanity is taking its rightful place in the great scheme of things and shaking off the shackles of the past, by stepping forward to embrace their authentic selves within the Divine matrix.

Although I am only highlighting here my personal views regarding Christianity, every religion and organisation in our world has come about through a human’s consciousness - albeit some of whom were enlightened or had become awakened. They were leaders of their time and incarnated to bring messages of hope and clarification to the various masses of humanity in ways that were appropriate for their understanding at the time. Many spoke in parables, and by relating stories they were able to paint a picture in ways that we still try and do today.

Just think how you would relate an incident or a teaching to individuals and large groups of people nowadays, but without the many teaching methods and technology that we use today? We would indeed have to resort to simple means and so it was throughout history that religions were built upon the pure messages that came through all those highly evolved souls that have been recognised as spear-heading our great spiritual truths.

Much like water, that always finds its flow through the rocks, earth and inaccessible places on this planet in streams, rivers and oceans, the messages of spiritual truth have found their way into the consciousness of humans over the centuries. Many channels have been used - literature, poetry, art, nature, the sciences and in more modern times film making, have conveyed the truth of the Source message to us.

However, much like water that can become soiled and contaminated on its journey, many teachings have been compromised and even annihilated through their passage of time and human consciousness. But much like the old proverb “truth will out” our treasure will be uncovered and we will come to realise “what is truly ours can never be taken from us." Our whole journey is about discovering the truth of the matter - by diving into the pure consciousness of the Divine message - and as a result becoming awakened.

We use this life and indeed have used many other lives, to discover and explore our divine consciousness and as a result, live by it, in whatever way we are inspired to do. Such are the times we are now living in, when truth is becoming more available to the masses, where technology is making it easier for us to obtain information (albeit with great discrimination and clarity) and where we are now being continually prompted by life’s circumstances or our own inner voice of reason and conscious application to grow and evolve experientially.

So how do we access our I Am Presence? It is as simple as breathing, indeed sitting down and breathing calmly and peacefully will put you in a perfect spot to start your journey to your WORLD WITHIN where you can access the centre of your being. It is a simple decision on your part, it is enough to want to access that hidden and most powerful part of yourself, but it must be done with humility, reverence and deep love through the heart because you will be truly embarking upon your journey home to Source and your Awakening.
